A Bold Move for 2027: Former Senate Leader Endorses Tinubu and Otu for Second Terms
Sen. Ndoma-Egba Declares Support for Otu and Tinubu in the 2027 Vote
According to our reports, Victor Ndoma-Egba, a influential political figure in Cross River State, has thrown his weight behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming elections. In the run-up to the 2027 elections, Ndoma-Egba has identified the central senatorial district as the powerhouse of Cross River politics, signaling a resolute support for the APC. He hinted at a potential shift, or seismic changes, in the political landscape of both the state and the presidency, showing a proactive approach leading up to the elections.
In a rally organized by the people of Cross River Central Senatorial District, Ndoma-Egba endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu for another term, with good reason. He praised the impressive work they’ve done since their election and asserted that it was time to give them the green light to continue their mission without interruptions.
The Pro-Chancellor/Chairman, Governing Council of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) made these remarks on Tuesday, in Ikom Local Government Area of the state. He emphasized that it was the tradition of the Cross River people to rotate the governorship seat for equilibrium and fairness.
"We are here today to endorse our governor, Senator Bassey Otu, for another term after 2027, and our President and Commander-In-Chief, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for another term," Ndoma-Egba proclaimed.
The experienced politican noted that an early endorsement would help Governor Otu focus on governance, rather than succumb to political distractions.
He stated that the people of Cross River Central would stand by Tinubu and Otu in 2027.
"People may say that this endorsement is premature. I, however, disagree. It is beneficial for us to endorse him now, so he can concentrate on the good work he is doing and not get sidetracked by politics," Ndoma-Egba added.
The APC chieftain went on to express his wholehearted support for the early endorsement of both Tinubu and Otu, citing reasons of tradition and stability.
"I welcome all of us from the central senatorial district to this monumental event and cordially invite you all to continue stretching your support behind our amiable governor, Prince Bassey Otu, and our esteemed President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu," concluded Ndoma-Egba.
