Zelensky continued to maintain that there should be no reward for Russian President Vladimir Putin's violent actions against Ukraine, lest it give the impression that "war is worth it."
The talks concluded on Monday in Istanbul after surpassing the hour mark. The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed that they ended "without a negative outcome."
While details on the exact number of prisoners to be exchanged are yet to be finalized, it's been rumored that the swap may involve 1,000 individuals on each side, potentially reaching a 1,200-for-1,200 exchange.
