Crash Claims Life in Johor Baru ❌❌🚨

Johor Baru, Malaysia - A tragic accident on the North-South Expressway claimed one life and left another person injured this morning.

According to Johor Baru South (JPS) police deputy chief, Supt Azrul Hisham Mohd Shaffei, the incident occurred when a 23-year-old motorcyclist lost control of his Honda Wave, skidding onto the right lane. In an unfortunate chain of events, a local Yamaha Xmax rider and the driver of a Toyota Vios stopped to render aid, only to have their good samaritan acts disrupted. The Toyota Vios was rear-ended by a Honda City, causing a domino effect.

To make matters worse, a Subaru Impreza, driven by a Singaporean man, was unable to avoid the heap of wreckage and plowed into the victim lying on the road, also colliding with the Yamaha XMax rider, Toyota Vios, and Honda City. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Yamaha XMax rider suffered a broken right leg and is receiving treatment at Sultanah Aminah Hospital.

Fortunately, all the car drivers involved didn't sustain serious injuries. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the JBS Traffic Police station or Inspector Mohd Zulpaka Bambo at 014-8861791.

This latest tragedy comes amidst a series of multi-vehicle accidents in Johor Baru. On March 29, a driver caused a five-vehicle collision along Jalan Johor Baru-Air Hitam due to braking failure. On March 31, a Singapore-registered car was involved in a collision at Jalan Kebun Teh, leading to a viral altercation.
