Law enforcement officials confiscated a vehicle, two handguns, and precious silverware during a search of Hagavane's premises. The silverware was reportedly presented by the Kaspate family at their daughter Vaishnavi's wedding to Shashank Hagavane.

In the city of Pune, authorities conducting an investigation into the alleged dowry-related suicide of Vaishnavi, a 26-year-old woman, have seized a car, two pistols, and silver utensils from the Hagavane family properties. The items were gifted by the Kaspate family during Vaishnavi's marriage to Shashank Hagavane.

Vaishnavi's tragic death occurred at her in-laws' home in Bavdhan on May 16. According to police, she endured repeated physical and mental harassment due to dowry demands. The authorities have so far arrested five individuals in connection with the case: Shashank Hagavane, husband of the deceased; Rajendra Hagavane, the father-in-law; Lata Hagavane, the mother-in-law; Karishma, the sister-in-law; and Sushil, the brother-in-law.

On Friday, the police also seized a laptop and other belongings from the Karvenagar residence of Nilesh Chavan, a close associate of the Hagawanes, as part of their ongoing investigation into the case. Chavan, who faces allegations of threatening Vaishnavi's parents with a firearm, is currently on the run. He has previously been charged with rape, domestic violence, and drink-drive offenses.

To record statements related to Vaishnavi's death, a team of Bavdhan police visited both the Hagavane and Kaspate families on Saturday. Pimpri-Chinchwad police also seized a bank locker belonging to the Hagavane family to investigate possible dowry-related items. Firearm licenses for Sushil and Shashank Hagavane are being reviewed for cancellation, while the license of Chavan has already been issued under the Warje-Malwadi police jurisdiction.

As the investigation continues, officials are drafting a proposal to recommend the cancellation of the Hagavane brothers' and Chavan's firearm licenses.
