Breaking News: Hunting a Rogue Truck Driver

Seek out the culprit behind the unprovoked vehicle collision scenario

June 29, 2025, 05:00 AM (Ya'll Wake Up!)

Hey there, folks! The wild west of the highway struck again, this time on the S177 in the Bautzen district. Police are on the hunt for a reckless truck driver who shoved another truck off the road, vanishing into the mist, leaving a trail of 300,000 euros worth of debris in his wake!

This hair-raising incident, straight out of an action movie, occurred around 7:45 AM on June 13. The culprit, a white Polish truck with a tarpaulin cover, swerved into oncoming traffic near the Grosserkmannsdorf exit, forcing the other truck to swerve off the road.

"Kripo live," our magazine, is lending a hand in the search for this suicidal speed demon.

The avoiding truck ended up jack-knifed on the unpaved roadside, unable to get back on the road. In a desperate attempt to avoid a collision, the truck hit a tree, causing its trailer to detach and tip over into a ditch.

The damages caused by this mayhem are estimated to be around 300,000 euros, but fortunately, the driver of the damaged truck escaped unscathed. With the trailer detaching before the overturn, the tractor unit remained in perfect condition.

Police are now hot on the trail of the rogue driver and calling for witnesses. If you have any info that could help, please give the Kamenz police a ring at 03578 352 0 (probably making a dent in your wallet, but that's how the justice game goes). You can also contact any other police station if you're feeling shy.
