Seattle's KOMO and KUNS television stations to air 33 Seattle Storm WNBA games
Hitting the Court: Seattle Storm's 2025 WNBA Season Lands on KOMO and KUNS
Strap in, sports enthusiasts! This year, the Seattle Storm WNBA team is taking it up a notch, signing a multi-year deal with Sinclair's KOMO and KUNS stations. Say hello to expanded coverage of our beloved four-time champions, right here in western Washington, free of charge, KOMO reports.
As part of the agreement, KOMO and KUNS will serve as the exclusive broadcast partners for the Seattle Storm, starting with the 2025 season. Over 33 games, Storm fans can catch the action on their TV screens, cheering on their team's journey to (hopefully) its fifth championship.
Nate Silverman, Seattle Storm's chief commercial officer, couldn't be more thrilled with this partnership. He expressed that "this partnership aligns with our shared vision of making Storm basketball available to even more fans while expanding our impact within the community."
During the season, KUNS (CW) will be the go-to for all non-nationally exclusive games. These games will be available across cable, satellite, and over-the-air television. And don't worry about missing out if you can't catch a game during primetime—KOMO will be airing 13 of those games in addition. Plus, you'll have the added convenience of catching Storm games on digital platforms like YouTube TV and Hulu Live.
But that's not all! KOMO is also set to produce pre-game content for select games and feature stories during Seattle Refined — their daily lifestyle program — and ARC Seattle on KUNS. ARC Seattle offers viewers genuine, current, and community-oriented content from around the Puget Sound region.
Rob Weisbord, chief operating officer and president of local media at Sinclair, considers this partnership an extension of their commitment to bring top-notch local sports coverage to consumers. "We're dedicated to uplifting women's sports, from our collaboration with the WTA to increasing visibility for the WNBA. Our aim is to offer more view options for fans to immerse themselves in their favorite players and teams," Weisbord said.
The stormy skies clear on May 17, 2025, as the Storm embarks on its regular season opener, facing off against the Phoenix Mercury at 7 p.m. PT.
Keep your eyes peeled for more 2025 WNBA season updates, and stayed tuned to your local CW channel for Storm home games! And remember, if you're not in the Seattle area, some Storm games will be televised on ABC or ESPN, or you can catch the action online on various streaming platforms.
