Seattle Storm Overturns Deficit to Secure Victory Against Las Vegas Aces

The Seattle Storm and the Las Vegas Aces are set for a decisive playoff showdown, following the Storm's thrilling comeback in the return match between the two teams.

In a game that went down to the wire, it was French rookie Dominique Malonga who stole the show. With just 30 seconds left on the clock, Malonga sank a three-point play to give the Storm an 86-83 lead, a lead they would not relinquish.

Malonga's performance was nothing short of spectacular. Off the bench, she notched a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. She also contributed 3 assists and 2 blocks, proving to be a crucial factor in the Storm's victory.

The return match, played in the early hours of Wednesday morning, was a far cry from the Storm's heavy loss (77-102) in their first encounter with the Aces. The Storm's captain, Nneka Ogwumike, praised Malonga's maturity in the face of adversity.

Meanwhile, another French player for the Storm, Gabby Williams, struggled from the field, scoring 6 points on 2-of-8 shooting. However, it was Skylar Diggins who sealed the victory for the Storm with a score 4 seconds before the end of the match. Diggins finished the game with 26 points.

The victory sets up a crucial Game 3 between the Storm (7th in the regular-season standings) and the Aces (2nd). The match is scheduled for Thursday night, with Noelle Quinn at the helm for the Storm.

Elsewhere, the Indiana Fever secured their first playoff win in a decade, defeating Atlanta in Game 2 of their series. The score was 77-60 in favor of Indiana, setting up a decisive Game 3 in the series.

This exciting turn of events promises a thrilling conclusion to the first round of the WNBA playoffs. Stay tuned for more updates!
