Season ticket sales record maintained, despite the rise in cost
TuS Ferndorf Announces Season Ticket Price Increase for Second League Season
TuS Ferndorf Handball GmbH has announced a price increase for season tickets in the upcoming second league season. This decision comes as the club aims to generate additional revenue to ensure financial security and cover the higher costs associated with competing in the second league.
The price increase is a delayed "reward" for the exceptionally successful past season, according to the club's Managing Director, Mirza Sijaric. He stated that the price increase is necessary to pay for the club's operations.
In a bid to generate more income through ticket sales, the inner block of the main tribune has been expanded into parts of the neighboring blocks (price category 1). Additionally, the seating categories and block affiliations will also be restructured.
Despite the price increase, TuS Ferndorf has announced a new season ticket record for the upcoming second league season. More than 800 season tickets have been sold so far, which is around 100 more than last season. This makes it the most season tickets ever sold at the current capacity of around 1400 seated and standing places.
TuS Ferndorf's financial goal for the upcoming season is to reach a revenue target of around 1.2 million euros. This target would help them maintain their competitiveness and operational stability in the league. Mirza Sijaric mentioned that the club's financial planning aims for a season budget of approximately 1.5 million euros.
In recent years, TuS Ferndorf Handball GmbH has expanded its sponsor pool to around 120 supporters. Sijaric thanked all sponsors, stating that without them, none of this would be possible. Last season, the volume was around 1.3 million euros.
Despite the progress, Sijaric acknowledged that TuS Ferndorf is still only in the lower third of all second league clubs. He emphasized that the price increase is necessary for TuS Ferndorf to continue to compete in the strong league.
An informal letter about the price increase has been made available to the editorial team. The club encourages fans to purchase their season tickets early to secure their preferred seats.
Fans who enjoy other sports like football may also find this interesting: The expansion of the inner block of the main tribune now includes parts of neighboring blocks, offering more opportunities for football fans to secure their seats for the upcoming second league season. It's crucial for TuS Ferndorf to generate more income through ticket sales, as the price increase is a necessary step towards ensuring financial security, covering higher costs, and maintaining their competitiveness in both handball and football.
