Season 51 of SNL will be graced by hosts Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, and Doja Cat
Saturday Night Live (SNL) has revealed its lineup for the first watch of episodes in season 51. The American sketch comedy series is set to return on October 4, with Bad Bunny hosting the premiere episode. Doja Cat will accompany Bad Bunny as the musical guest.
The first watch will air on NBC and Peacock, marking the start of another exciting season. This will be Bad Bunny's first time hosting the show, and Doja Cat's second appearance as a musical guest, following her performance in 2020.
On October 11, the hosting duties will pass to actress Amy Poehler. Role Model has been announced as the musical guest for this episode. This will be Poehler's fourth time hosting SNL, and Role Model's first appearance on the show.
Sabrina Carpenter, a familiar face to SNL audiences, will take on double duties on October 18. She will both host and perform as the musical guest. This will be Carpenter's first time hosting the show, although she has previously appeared as a musical guest.
The announcement comes after SNL lost a major slate of cast members following its landmark 50th season. Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow, Emil Wakim, Ego Nwodim, and Heidi Gardner have announced their departure from the show. However, the show will welcome new talent, with Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska joining as featured players.
Stay tuned for more updates on SNL season 51!
