Season 5 of Call of Duty Warzone: Detonating a Stadium, Introducing a Hijack Scenario, and Believing Survival Remains Possible

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is back with a bang as Season 5 kicks off, bringing a host of changes and updates to Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

Multiplayer Changes

Season 5 is introducing four new and remastered maps at launch, including Runway (Arzak Provincial Airport, 6v6), Exchange (a small, vibrant Avalon marketplace, 6v6 and 2v2 modes), and World Motor Dynasty (W.M.D.) (a reimagined Italian luxury car manufacturer in Avalon, 6v6). A mid-season map update adds Jackpot (6v6).

New and returning modes are also on the horizon, with the introduction of the Aim High mode focused on headshots, as well as the return of Snipers Only and Cranked Moshpit during the first half of the season. Mid-season updates will introduce Cranked Demolition (limited-time event) and Blueprint Gunfight.

The season also sees the introduction of the Combat Bow scorestreak with explosive-tipped arrows arriving mid-season.

Zombies

Season 5 is set to be the thrilling conclusion of the Black Ops 6 Zombies storyline, with the epic finale set at the Janus Towers. This wraps up the hunt for the final Pantheon moles, advancing the narrative of the Rogue Black Ops team fighting their way through enemies and deploying new gear and weapons.

Warzone Updates

Warzone complements Black Ops 6 Season 5 with updates including a Stadium POI modification in Verdansk and new limited-time modes such as Stadium Resurgence and Deadline. These bring fresh dynamics but fewer details are currently available compared to Multiplayer and Zombies.

Bug Fixes and Addressing Issues

Season 5 also addresses a multitude of bugs and issues across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. This includes fixes for issues with Melee Macchiato, Perk orders, ammo distribution, Essence and reserve ammo, the Zombies Purchase menu, and more.

Season 5 Launch and Ranked Play

Season 5 officially launched on August 7, 2025, emphasizing intense combat via new maps and modes, culminating Zombies story content, and enhancements in Warzone gameplay to align with the overall Black Ops 6 narrative and gameplay progression.

The Ranked Play season is also live, with changes to demotion protection and requalification requirements.
