"Season 2 Registration for 'Gen V' Commences in September"

Let the Good Times Roll? Not for Gen V's Students!

Summer vacation? More like an endless school year for some. At CCXP Mexico, Prime Video revealed the initial glimpse of season two for the college-centric spinoff of The Boys, Gen V. And guess what? The students of Godolkin University have got their hands full.

We're jumped right into the action, post The Boys' fourth season, where Homelander is the United States' ruler, complete with students leaving campus via designated checkpoints and mandatory ID badges. Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and her pals are discharged from rehab and permitted back on campus. The new dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater) has plans to mold students into Supes/Human war warriors. While the ordinary Supes kiddos are happy to prepare and party, there's a divide amongst Marie and her crew: some are keen to skip town and never look back, while others are hell-bent on causing chaos from within. Unfortunately for them, their plans are thrown for a loop with the discovery of a secret school program from the past that may be connected to Marie.

Ahead of season two's production in spring 2024, Chance Perdromo, who played Andre - one of the students sent to rehab with Marie - met a tragic end in a motorcycle accident. The Gen V team confirmed they wouldn't replace Andre and instead restructured the season to reflect his passing. His father, Polarity (Sean Patrick Thomas), will be mourning Andre and later on, seeking answers.

Joining the cast are Derek Luh, Lizzie Broadway, London Thor, and Asa Germann. Season two of Gen V commences on September 17 with a three-episode premiere, followed by a weekly episode every week through October 22.

Oh, and one more thing: Chance Perdomo won't be replaced in season two of Gen V. The producers confirmed that no one can fill Perdomo's shoes following his demise. Instead, the show will honor his memory by acknowledging Andre's absence within the narrative. Expect Polarity (played by Sean Patrick Thomas) to investigate his son's fate, which will become a significant plot point[1][2]. The team and creators are handling this loss with sensitivity, and Andre's character will be written out of the show in a way that pays tribute to Perdomo's legacy[3][1].
