Season 2 of Peacemaker reportedly includes an element that Director James Gunn admitted he was "not entirely content" with: eagle droppings
In the latest instalment of Peacemaker, the DCU's chaotic superhero series, director James Gunn has taken viewers on another thrilling journey. The second season of the show, airing every Thursday on HBO Max in the US and Sky/NOW in the UK, is filled with action, humour, and a surprising focus on eagle poop.
In a shocking turn of events, Chris (John Cena), the titular Peacemaker, informs his teammate Adebayo about his plans to move to an alternate dimension. However, the revelation is overshadowed by the imminent raid by A.R.G.U.S, who are hot on Peacemaker's tail.
Meanwhile, Emilia Harcourt, played by Jennifer Holland, is offered a new position at A.R.G.U.S by Flag Sr. The condition for her acceptance? Helping to apprehend Peacemaker. In a twist, Harcourt agrees, setting the stage for an intriguing confrontation.
Gunn, concerned about the authenticity of the eagle poop depicted in the show, researched the subject extensively and even sent images to the production team. Despite his efforts, the initial representation of the eagle poop was deemed unrealistic and gross, resembling melted ice cream or taffy more than bird droppings.
The season's fourth episode sees Chris and Eagly, his eagle companion, encountering trouble in the woods. It's possible that this difficulty stems from the pursuit of Peacemaker by Red St. Wild, played by Michael Rooker, who attempts to shoot Eagly and tracks them by following the eagle's droppings.
In a bizarre twist, Red St. Wild is reported to have tasted the eagle's droppings in the episode. The specialist responsible for improving the depiction and look of Eagly's droppings remains unnamed, despite extensive online searches.
