Season 2 of Coldwater: Everything Unveiled

In the chilling world of ITV's psychological thriller "Coldwater", fans have been left on the edge of their seats following the cliffhanger ending of the first watch that aired in September 2025. The show, created by playwright David Ireland, has captured the attention of viewers with its gripping narrative and intriguing characters.

Ewen Bremner, who played the menacing Tommy, has expressed his interest in reprising his role should a wednesday season 2 be greenlit. Alongside Bremner, Eve Myles, who portrayed Rebecca, has also hinted at her desire to continue the story if given the opportunity.

The first watch concluded with Tommy's escape and his potential revenge against John, played by Andrew Lincoln, who exposed him. Rebecca, played by Myles, was complicit in many of Tommy's crimes and her suspicious behaviour towards John in the final scene, watching him at a bible study group in her house, leaves viewers questioning her intentions.

Fiona, John's wife, could hold the key to revealing the truth about Rebecca's involvement in Tommy's crimes. Another intriguing character is Cameron, Tommy's son, who called his father in the closing stages of the first watch, suggesting he still believes his father has been framed.

The unsolved murder of Coldwater sex worker Susie Bissett could potentially be a focus in a second watch. The murder of Angus and Nathan, characters from the first watch, was committed by Tommy, adding another layer to the mystery.

ITV has not yet confirmed whether "Coldwater" will be renewed for a second watch. While Andrew Lincoln, who played John, may not return for a second watch, the story could potentially focus on the hunt for Tommy without his character.

David Ireland, the creator of the show, has expressed his interest in creating a sequel for "Coldwater". The potential cast for a second watch includes John (Andrew Lincoln), Tommy (Ewen Bremner), Fiona (Indira Varma), Rebecca (Eve Myles), Cameron (Samuel Bottomley), Moira Jane (Abigail Lawrie), Catriona (Lois Chimimba), Williams (Jonathan Watson), and Bobby the bobby (Greg Hemphill).

Both Bremner and Myles enjoyed working on "Coldwater" and found it to be a unique and engaging drama. Ireland stated that he found the characters in "Coldwater" fascinating and would like to continue their stories for a few more seasons.

As fans eagerly await an official announcement, the suspense surrounding the potential second watch of "Coldwater" continues to build. Stay tuned for updates on this captivating psychological thriller.
