The inquiry continues for a missing toddler in the quaint Bingen town near the Swabian Alb, set to persist on this Tuesday. A police spokesperson reported that the water police, among other entities, will join the scene. So far, all efforts to locate the two-year-old have yielded no success.

On Monday, police sniffers detected the girl's scent near the River Lauchert. The family's home is in Hitzkofen, a suburb of Bingen in the Sigmaringen district of Baden-Württemberg and is located close to the swelling river.

Digging deeper, the Sigmaringen Criminal Investigation Department delved into the personal and local environment of the family to pinpoint any potential lead. Unfortunately, no significant developments have been reported. "There is no evidence of violence,” stated police spokesman Christian Sugg, while specifying that the girl's parents were currently staying with acquaintances outside of the community.

Divers had already scoured the river on Sunday, without locating any trace of the little girl. The two-year-old is believed to have slip away from her parents' home in her pyjamas in an unobserved moment on Sunday afternoon.

Officials remain optimistic it was an accident, yet investigations in multiple directions are underway to establish a solid lead. “We are not only looking for the child, but we are also searching for clues as to where the child might be,” said a police spokeswoman.

Supporting the officers' search was a police helicopter and ongoing interrogations of family, acquaintances, and friends, required extensive time.

The picturesque Swabian Alps, famous for their captivating landscapes, have recently experienced significant rainfall, contributing to the intense flooding in Baden-Württemberg. In the same region, a distressing situation unfolded when a two-year-old child went missing near Bingen, a town in Sigmaringen’s district.

The search operation encompassing Bingen, where the Lauchert River flows, has been ongoing since Sunday with police, water police, and divers actively participating.

The family of the missing child calls Hitzkofen, a suburb of Bingen, severely impacted by the flooding in the Bingen-Sigmaringendorf district, their home.

The police unearthed evidence that the child had exited her home while wearing pyjamas, raising suspicion of an unsupervised exit.

Authorities, including officers from the Bingen and Sigmaringen districts, along with other supporting entities, have been working diligently in an effort to find the child and any potential clues in this situation.
