SDCC 2025: Paradise Unveils Exclusive Preview at San Diego Comic-Con
New Cast Member Shailene Woodley Joins Hulu's "Paradise" for Season 2
Shailene Woodley has joined the cast of Hulu's post-apocalyptic drama "Paradise" for its upcoming second season. Woodley will portray Andy, a former tour guide at Graceland who finds herself trapped in a bunker-like TV room with a security guard friend during a catastrophic event.
In this new role, Woodley's character brings a fresh perspective to the show's post-apocalyptic setting, as they scavenge Graceland for supplies and navigate the aftermath of the world-ending event. The expanded cast for Season 2 will explore new locations and storylines following the conclusion of the first season.
The creators of "Paradise," Dan Fogelman, began writing for Season 2 immediately after the early releases of Season 1. Other new cast members include Ryan Michelle Bathe, Timothy Omundson, Thomas Doherty, and Michael McGrady.
"Paradise" is a dystopian show about a Secret Service agent investigating the murder of the President in a world where the last of humanity is underground. The series is filmed entirely in Los Angeles, a decision made to keep the cast and crew close to home.
Meanwhile, fans of animated comedy will be excited to hear that Futurama is returning for another two seasons after a 10-year hiatus. The show made the announcement at SDCC 2023, following the release of Season 11 on Hulu. Since then, Season 12 of Futurama has been released.
In addition, the hit animated series Solar Opposites is returning for a wild fourth season. Dan Stevens has joined the voice cast as the new voice of Korvo. The show is known for its humorous take on the human experience, even in the midst of a post-apocalyptic world.
Lastly, King of the Hill, the show about the Hill family from Arlen, Texas, is returning with a new season after years of uncertainty. The show, which follows the everyday lives of the Hill family, offers a refreshing take on small-town America.
