Scouts Established Camp Along St. Hubertus Trail; Group Enjoyed Muddy, Rainy Activities
Article:
Channeling the spirited mantra, "There's no bad weather, just inappropriate gear," the weekend witnessed a motley crew of kids, teens, and seasoned leaders braving the elements. Rain and mud were mere blips on the radar, barely dampening their high spirits. Flaunting their wellies and bright rain capes, the scouts turned the soggy campsite into a colorful emporium of games, laughter, and camaraderie. Highlights of the extraordinary weekend included the nerve-wracking night hike through the nearby woods, testing courage and unity, and the energetic barbecue chaos that segued into a roaring campfire. The evening was filled with harmonies and tunes that lingered into the night, weaving through the campsite.
"Naturally, we would've preferred sunshine," leader Jule admitted with a quiver of a smile, "but apparently, mother nature has a mind of her own. Still, rain is just part of the adventure. In the end, it's all about unity - and that was off-the-charts brilliant again." To add a dash of good luck, Monday dawned with a ray of sunlight, allowing the tents to be dismantled under clear skies - a godsend for everyone. Now it's time to air out, straighten up, catch our breath...and eagerly anticipate next year.
