Scorching Temperatures Surpassing 30 Degrees: Germany Experiences a Heatwave

The German Weather Service (DWD) has forecasted a heatwave across Germany, with temperatures expected to rise above 30°C by midweek.

By Monday, the center of Germany will reach temperatures above 30°C, and this trend is expected to continue throughout the week. Most of Germany, except for the far north, will experience temperatures between 30°C and 36°C on Tuesday. By the end of Tuesday, most of Germany will have temperatures above 30°C.

The DWD predicts that this heatwave will persist until at least Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures below 30°C only being experienced on islands during this period.

In southwestern Germany, specifically in Baden-Württemberg near the French border, temperatures are expected to reach up to 38°C by midweek. Cities like Bonn in the west have already surpassed 30°C, and temperatures are forecasted to rise further in the coming days.

The heatwave is also spreading northward and eastward, with extensive regions under heat warnings. However, the northern coast remains slightly cooler.

Meteorologist Magdalena Bertelmann from the DWD stated, "By Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures below 30°C can only be experienced on islands."

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay cool and hydrated during this period. Keep an eye on local weather updates for the latest information.
