Forecast for the Second Half of Next Week in Germany: Cooler Trend with Thunderstorm Risk

Germany is bracing for a change in weather as a cold front moves in, replacing the hot air with cooler marine air in many parts of the country. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the next heat wave is expected to peak in the coming week, but a cooler trend is anticipated for the second half of next week.

On Sunday, a significant drop in temperature is expected, with the south reaching peak temperatures of just over 30 degrees Celsius, while the north will not reach 25 degrees. Along the coast, temperatures on Saturday will be 21 to 25 degrees Celsius. In the far north, temperatures are likely to remain largely below the 30-degree mark.

The weekend will be hot and summery across Germany, with local values of up to 36 degrees Celsius in the south possible. However, from Monday onwards, the night will be significantly cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 10 degrees Celsius in some areas.

The weather in the second half of the week is still uncertain, but widespread peak temperatures of between 26-30 degrees Celsius are expected. There is a possibility of local thunderstorms, especially due to the still-warm surface air allowing cumulus clouds and cumulonimbus clouds to form, which can produce thunderstorms and occasional intense precipitation. These storms may bring gusty winds and lightning locally in some areas of Germany.

It's important to note that these conditions are based on current forecasts and may change as the week progresses. The DWD advises the public to stay updated on the latest weather updates and to take necessary precautions during thunderstorms.

[1] The cooler trend anticipated for the second half of next week in Germany might mean a shift in our plans, as the weather-forecasting suggests a drop in temperatures.

[2] If the thunderstorm risk remains as predicted, it would be wise to consider the weather-forecasting for local weather conditions during the second half of next week in Germany, as it could lead to unpredictable weather patterns, such as thunderstorms and intense precipitation.
