SSC Palmberg Schwerin, the German volleyball team, is gearing up for the group stage of the Champions League, following the qualifying round. The group stage, yet to have its matches scheduled, promises intense duels according to Schwerin's coach, Felix Koslowski.
The Champions League competition consists of a qualifying round, which will determine the fourth team in Schwerin's group. This year, the qualifying round will take place in the last two weeks of October. Schwerin's opponents in the Champions League are Levallois Paris St Cloud (French champions), Developres Rzeszow (Polish champions), and the winners of Maritza Plovdiv (Bulgaria) vs Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) qualifying round.
Interestingly, Schwerin will face the same opponents as last year in the group stage of the Champions League. However, the team managed to avoid the traditionally strong Italian and Turkish teams in the group stage this time around.
