Schindler Resurfaces in ERC once Again

In an exciting development for ERC Ingolstadt, the ice hockey club has announced their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The team will be bolstered by the return of defenseman Nicolas Schindler, who has signed a two-year contract with the club.

Schindler, who previously played for the Champions Hockey League and DEL2 champions Dresdner Eislöwen, will join a strong defensive unit that includes Leon Hüttl, Sam Ruopp, Philipp Preto, Alex Breton, Morgan Ellis, Edwin Tropmann, Peter Spornberger, and Chris Jandric.

While details about Schindler's transfer to ERC Ingolstadt's U23 squad are scarce, it is known that he made his debut in the German top league in the 2022/23 season and recorded two assists in ten appearances. During his time with Ingolstadt's U20 team, Schindler was the top scorer in the DNL.

Tim Regan, sporting director of ERC Ingolstadt, expressed his excitement about Schindler's return, stating that he believes the player will continue to develop and make a valuable contribution to the team.

In addition to the defense, the 2025/26 squad will feature a formidable forward line-up. Philipp Krauß, Daniel Pietta, Daniel Schmölz, Riley Sheen, Johannes Krauß, Luca Hauf, Abbott Girduckis, Kenny Agostino, Myles Powell, Austen Keating, Samir Kharboutli, Elias Pul, Riley Barber, and Schindler himself will be the forwards for the team.

The goalkeeping department will be manned by Devin Williams, Nico Pertuch, and Brett Brochu.

As the new season approaches, fans of ERC Ingolstadt can look forward to seeing Schindler back in action, along with the rest of the team, as they strive for success in the German top league.

Despite Schindler's success in ice hockey, he will now transition into football, joining ERC Ingolstadt's U23 squad for the upcoming season. While football may be a change from his traditional sports like hockey, it is exciting for the club as they strengthen their squad with new talents like Schindler.
