Scharbeutzer Annual Street Art Exhibition

The Scharbeutz Street Art Festival is set to return from July 31st to August 3rd, promising a vibrant celebration of art and culture by the sea. This year's event will take place in the picturesque Kurpark, promenade, and beach near the new Seebruecke, providing a stunning backdrop for the live art creations and performances.

One of the festival's highlights is the array of free workshops for children aged five and above. Held at the artistry school tent on the festival ground, these workshops are led by instructors from the festival's artistry school. The workshops offer a unique opportunity for children to explore and learn circus arts, with no prior registration required.

Adults can also immerse themselves in the artistic spectacle, as the festival features performances by international artists from Chile, South Africa, Finland, Argentina, Italy, Israel, and Germany. These artists showcase their impressive skills, cheeky humour, and engaging interaction with the audience, all while accepting donations in their hats as a token of appreciation.

In addition to the performances, visitors can enjoy cozy lounges, loving decorations, beautiful craft stands, and a variety of culinary delights. The festival also offers a Golden Hat award, with the three artists receiving the most votes in a public voting receiving the prestigious accolade. Those who participate in the voting have the chance to win attractive prizes.

Online voting for the Golden Hat award will be activated on July 31st, while registration for the workshops takes place at the artistry school tent on the day of the event. Winning the Golden Hat grants automatic participation in the next year's street art festival.
