Scary Movie 6: A Reboot with Original Cast Members
Scary Movie franchise veterans Anna Faris and Regina Hall are set to reappear in Scary Movie 6.
After a 16-year hiatus, the popular horror parody series Scary Movie is set to make a comeback with the release of Scary Movie 6 on June 12, 2026. This upcoming film promises to bring back some familiar faces, with original cast members Anna Faris and Regina Hall reprising their roles as Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks, respectively.
The Wayans brothers, Marlon and Shawn, will also be returning to the franchise as writers and producers. Keenen Wayans, who brought Scary Movie to the big screen in 2000 as a parody of "Scream", "Halloween", and "A Nightmare on Elm Street", was also involved in the original film and its sequel in 2001.
Anna Faris, who is 48 years old, and Regina Hall, who is 54, have appeared together four times in the Scary Movie series. However, they were absent in Scary Movie 5. Regina Hall, who played Brenda Meeks in the first film, was also absent in Scary Movie 5.
Scary Movie 6 is being directed by Michael Tiddes, who has previously collaborated with the Wayans brothers on films like White Chicks and A Haunted House. Principal photography is expected to begin in October 2025.
It is important to note that David Zucker directed Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4, while the Wayans brothers were not involved in these installments.
Scary Movie 6 is a continuation of the Scary Movie series, and it will also see the return of Dave Sheridan in his original role. The film will mark the first time Anna Faris and Regina Hall have appeared together in a Scary Movie film since the original in 2000.
