Scarlett Johansson and Walton Goggins selected to oversee the concluding segments of 'Saturday Night Live' Season 50
"Saturday Night Live" bids adieu to its historic 50th season with none other than Scarlett Johansson and Walton Goggins gracing the stage.
Swinging by Studio 8H for a seventh time, Johansson will be the host on May 17, stepping up as the season closes. Bad Bunny, who's been making waves on the music scene, will strut his stuff as the musical guest. Did you know? Johansson is at par with Christopher Walken as one of the select two individuals to have hosted "SNL" an astounding seven times[3]!
Johansson, who married "SNL" cast member and "Weekend Update" anchor Colin Jost, last appeared on April 12 this year, slipping into the shoes of Ivanka Trump in the "White POTUS" skit[1]. In addition to this, she's graced the screens as a host since 2006, with several more cameo appearances under her belt.
Bad Bunny gears up for his third appearance as the musical guest, having previously hit the stage in 2021. This time around, he'll also be taking charge as host in October 2023, with his second stint as musical guest[1]. Previously, Bad Bunny made a cameo as Santiago, the 'hot brother' of Domingo (Marcello Hernandez), on the "SNL" 50th anniversary special back in February.
Debuting on the show for the first time on May 10 is Walton Goggins. Hot on the heels of the Season 3 finale of "The White Lotus," which wrapped up with a gripping conclusion earlier this month[4], Goggins will be leading the show. Arcade Fire, who've graced the "SNL" stage five times, stand in as musical guests for this iteration.
Following her triumphant Coachella debut last week, Benson Boone is set to serve as the musical guest on the May 3 episode. Taking the reins for the hosting gig is "Abbott Elementary" star and creator Quinta Brunson, making her second time hosting[2].
"SNL" airs on NBC every Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT. Don't miss out!
