Bad Düben: Nationwide Opening at Obermühle

With a history dating back to 1434, Obermühle in Bad Düben is the oldest mill in the region. The mill, a flour, oil, and fulling mill, has been in operation for 500 years. On Pentecost, the Museumsdorf Dübener Heide e.V. association, responsible for the mill's care, hosts the nationwide German Mill Day opening. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, workshops, and interactive audio plays highlighting the milling process and expansive local history.[1]

Kyhna: 200 Years of Bock 'n' Rock

The tower mill in Kyhna has stood for two centuries, passing through five generations of the same family. After undergoing an impressive conversion from a post mill to a tower mill, the mill's sails were restored in 2020/21, and reconstruction of the milling machines continues. On Pentecost, Miller Master Martin Wernicke offers guided tours and showcases his mastery as a millwright.[1]

Mockrehna: Tower Mill Ebbecke in Audenhain

The tower mill in Audenhain has been family-owned for five generations, and its history dates back to 1751. Visit the mill on Pentecost to learn about its role in the Battle of the Heights of Suptitz during the Seven Years' War. Moreover, take part in tours, mill demonstrations, and exhibitions featuring the mill's history.[1]

Crimmitschau: Gristmill LPG "Roter Stern"
