Hamburg and its coastal towns have been enjoying unseasonably warm weather in mid-September, with temperatures reaching up to 29 degrees in Lauenburg on the Elbe. The city of Hamburg itself is predicted to see a maximum temperature of 15 degrees on Monday, a slight decrease from the current warmer conditions.

Along the coast, temperatures were lower but still pleasant, with Scharbeutz on the Lübeck Bay boasting a water temperature of 16 degrees. Despite the chilly water, many people were sunbathing, swimming, and even participating in activities like jet skiing and sailing. The beach was a popular destination for walkers as well.

In Warnemünde, the temperature on the Baltic Sea was 25 degrees, while it was 24 degrees in Heringsdorf on Usedom. These temperatures have made the coast an attractive destination for those looking to enjoy the remaining days of summer.

However, the good weather is not expected to last. At the beginning of next week, temperatures in Hamburg and Kiel are expected to reach a maximum of around 15°C, while Rostock will be slightly cooler at about 14°C. This noticeable drop from the current warmer conditions is a reminder that autumn is just around the corner.

Despite the approaching cooler weather, it's clear that this September has brought a taste of summer to the northern regions of Germany, with many people making the most of the warm weather while it lasts.
