President Donald Trump handed down full pardons to reality TV personalities Todd and Julie Chrisley on Tuesday, granting them release from federal prison after serving time for bank fraud and tax evasion. The couple, known for their show "Chrisley Knows Best," were initially sentenced to combined sentences totaling almost two decades.

In a heartfelt video posted to Instagram, their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, shared her joy and disbelief upon learning about the president's decision. "I got a call from the President himself as I was walking into Sam's Club," she said. "This is a dream come true, and I'm still in shock."

Todd and Julie Chrisley face convictions related to financial crimes that reportedly began at least as early as 2007. According to the United States Attorney's Office, the couple provided false information to banks and fabricated bank statements when applying for and receiving millions of dollars in loans. In 2014, they allegedly fabricated documents during the application process for a lease in California.

Savannah Chrisley's persistent advocacy for her parents' case appears to have played a significant role in securing the pardons. She sought a presidential pardon for her parents, spoke about their legal struggles on social media and her podcast, and publicly appealed to the Trump administration during the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Upon their release from federal prison, the Chrisleys returned to their family and community, according to their attorney Alex Little, who described the pardon as correcting a "deep injustice." The couple's defense team has consistently maintained their innocence, arguing that their prosecution was marked by illegal searches, unreliable testimony, biased prosecution, and political motivations.

As the Chrisleys celebrate their newfound freedom, they expressed gratitude towards President Trump and his administration. Savannah Chrisley stated, "I will always be grateful for President Trump, his administration, and everyone along the way who contributed countless hours and effort to my family." Despite the criminal charges and time spent in prison, Savannah remains steadfast in her support for the former president and his administration.
