Savannah Blackstock, Brandon Blackstock's daughter, expresses her deep emotions in a touching tribute to her deceased father.
In a touching post on her Instagram account on August 19, Savannah Blackstock, the eldest daughter of Brandon Blackstock, shared her heartfelt feelings about her father who passed away two weeks ago due to skin cancer.
Savannah described Brandon as someone who never fell short of making her dreams come true. He was more than just a provider of opportunities; he also chased her dreams with her. Brandon was worldwide Savannah's biggest cheerleader, always encouraging and supporting her.
Brandon and Savannah shared a close and loving relationship. They studied the Bible together, and Brandon's faith was such that he is now believed to be in Heaven with their Savior. Savannah believes Brandon gifted her the most valuable gift by showing her where he is today. She referred to Brandon as an angel and described him as being more than just a father to her; he was her best friend, voice of reason, and favourite phone call every day.
The note was accompanied by a carousel of pictures with her father, Brandon. Savannah expressed that Brandon was present for all of her dreams, whether they were high or far, and made a way for them to happen. She reflected on the renewed love for the Lord that Brandon expressed six months ago and the spiritual growth he sought.
Savannah's younger brother, Seth, also shared heartfelt tributes following Brandon’s death. He described Brandon as not just a father but his best friend. Melissa Ashworth, Brandon's ex-wife, praised Brandon as "the best Daddy and Pa" who "loved hard and fought hard." Despite their marriage ending in 2012, Melissa and Brandon remained connected through co-parenting their two children.
The family continues to honour Brandon's memory and legacy. Melissa and the children are holding on to the faith that "Brandon is with Jesus his Savior." [1][2][3]
