Sauquoit Valley Girls Soccer Remains Undefeated After Victory Over Utica Proctor

Sauquoit Valley's girls soccer team, currently ranked 10th in Class C, hosted Utica Proctor on Saturday. The match resulted in another victory for the undefeated Red Hawks, who are off to their best start since 2021.

The game began with a quick goal from junior midfielder Afton Sherman in the first half. The Red Hawks' defense was solid, with Allyson Brennan making 14 crucial saves. The team's record now stands at an impressive 10-0.

In the final minutes, a collaborative effort from Darya Rabkavets, Sherman, Tristyn Williams, and Lillyan Brennan secured the winning goal. Lillyan Brennan, a freshman, had previously scored the go-ahead goal in a 2-1 win against West Canada Valley. The team's coach, Dan George, has led them to this remarkable undefeated streak.

Sauquoit Valley's girls soccer team continues to dominate, maintaining their perfect record. With their eyes set on the Section III Class C crown, they will next face Clinton on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
