Race Horses Nariko, Word Counts Of Truth, and Belgravian to Compete at Ayr
Trainer Ralph Beckett's trio of horses, Nariko, Word Counts Of Truth, and Belgravian, will be in action at the current meeting at Ayr. Each of these horses has shown promising form in their recent outings.
Belgravian, who has a 0-3 record on the all-weather, has been in fine form since moving up to staying trips. His only defeat in the recent past came when he attempted to give 4lb away to a subsequent dual winner at Chelmsford. However, he bounced back impressively at Goodwood, cruising into contention and pulling clear effortlessly before being eased down towards the finish. Despite a 10lb rise in conditions, Belgravian is expected to continue his progress, having won his last race with plenty in hand.
Belgravian's stablemate, Word Counts Of Truth, has been unbeaten in two starts since being gelded. He gave a 6lb and a two-and-a-quarter-length beating to a subsequent winner at Newmarket last month, and is now set to race at Newbury at 3.15. Word Counts Of Truth is a well-bred horse, being a half-brother to Group 2-winning juvenile Ancient Truth. With two wins under his belt since the gelding operation, Word Counts Of Truth can take this step up in class in his stride.
Nariko, another horse from the Beckett stable, has a good record fresh and is expected to cope with a 4lb rise in conditions. She has won a race at Hamilton since last May, and has form figures of 11211. Nariko is being aimed at the current meeting at Ayr, and will be looking to continue her impressive form.
As the horses prepare for their races, the focus will be on how they perform against their respective competitors. With each horse showing promising form in their recent outings, it promises to be an exciting day of racing at Ayr.
