Sat.1 is shaking up its Quiz Thursday schedule with a brand-new show hosted by Jörg Pilawa. Who Is Germany's Superbrain? will premiere in summer 2026, replacing several cancelled programmes. The high-stakes quiz tests mental skills beyond general knowledge, offering a top prize of €50,000.

The show follows a unique elimination format. Fifty contestants begin in the outermost of six concentric circles. Over six rounds, those with the fewest correct answers are removed, moving inward until only two remain. These finalists then compete head-to-head in the innermost circle to claim the Superbrain title.

Unlike traditional quizzes, the challenges focus on six key areas: logic, memory, spatial reasoning, visual perception, math, and language. The concept is adapted from the French programme *Le Dernier Cercle*, bringing a fresh twist to German television. The launch comes as Sat.1 phases out other quiz shows, including *Hast du Töne?*, *The Connection*, and *The Floor*. Even Pilawa's long-running *Great General Knowledge Quiz* has been paused, signalling a major shift in the network's Thursday night lineup.

With its innovative structure and mental skill challenges, Who Is Germany's Superbrain? marks a bold change for Sat.1. The winner will take home up to €50,000, while the show's summer 2026 debut aims to draw viewers with its high-pressure, elimination-style competition.
