Sarah Gigante experiences a setback at the Tour de France Femmes, losing her podium position, yet finds solace in the advancements she's made for the upcoming year.

In the recently concluded Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2025, Australian cyclist Sarah Gigante put up a strong performance, finishing sixth overall in the general classification.

Gigante, who represents AG Insurance-Soudal, completed the race with a time deficit of 6 minutes and 40 seconds behind the winner, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot of Visma-Lease a Bike. Ferrand-Prévot also won the final stage and secured the yellow leader's jersey with a margin of 3 minutes and 42 seconds ahead of Demi Vollering of FDJ-Suez.

Gigante's consistent strong performance throughout the nine stages was evident in the final general classification top 10, where she finished just behind Niamh Fisher-Black of Lidl-Trek, who took fifth place.

The final general classification was as follows:

| Rank | Rider | Team | Time Behind Winner | |-------|----------------------------|----------------------|---------------------| | 1 | Pauline Ferrand-Prévot | Visma–Lease a Bike | — | | 2 | Demi Vollering | FDJ–Suez | +3:42 | | 3 | Katarzyna Niewiadoma-Phinney| Canyon-SRAM-ZondaCrypto | +4:09 | | 4 | Dominika Wlodarczyk | UAE Team ADQ | +5:45 | | 5 | Niamh Fisher-Black | Lidl-Trek | +6:25 | | 6 | Sarah Gigante | AG Insurance-Soudal | +6:40 | | 7 | Juliette Labous | FDJ–Suez | +9:13 | | 8 | Cédrine Kerbaol | EF Education–Oatly | +13:43 | | 9 | Pauliena Rooijakkers | Fenix-Deceuninck | +13:59 | | 10 | Évita Muzic | FDJ–Suez | +15:50 |

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot secured two stage wins, including the solo victory on the final mountainous Stage 9, confirming her dominance in the race. Other classification winners included Lorena Wiebes (green points jersey) and Elise Chabbey (polka-dot climber’s jersey).

Despite not securing a podium position, Gigante expressed her hunger for next year's Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift and expressed disappointment at losing a podium position. She lost 3 minutes and 53 seconds on the final stage, which included the HC climb of Col de Joux-Plane, and could not keep pace with the leading group through the descent.

Gigante's performance at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift was an improvement from her debut in 2024, where she finished in a lower position. In this year's race, she also took second place on stage 8, which included the climb of the Col de la Madeleine.

Overall, Gigante had a strong performance in this highly competitive and mountainous edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2025, finishing just outside the top 5. The race was led and won decisively by Pauline Ferrand-Prévot.

Sarah Gigante's consistent performance in sports, specifically cycling, was showcased during the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2025, where she finished sixth overall. Despite losing a podium position towards the end of the race, Gigante expressed her determination to improve for next year's edition.
