Sarah Connor's latest album takes the top spot on music charts
In Baden-Baden, renowned German singer Sarah Connor has claimed the number-one spot on the charts with her latest album, "Freigeist". Debuting at the top, this marks her fifth number-one album, further solidifying her status as one of Germany's most successful musicians. According to chart compilers GfK Entertainment, Connor has accumulated over 950 weeks on the Official German Charts throughout her career.
Meanwhile, the second position in the album charts is taken by a newcomer, punk band Unantastbar, with their album "Für immer wir". This places them ahead of Billie Eilish's "Hit Me Hard And Soft". Last week's chart-toppers, Linkin Park, dropped to number six with the deluxe edition of their album "From Zero".
The single charts have remained unchanged from the previous week with Pashanim & Ceren still holding the number-one spot with "Shabab(e)s im VIP". Alex Warren follows closely with "Ordinary", while Apache 207 scores a new high entry with "Morgen". Abor & Tynna, who recently represented Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest, land at number ten with their entry "Baller".
Among the top artists in the German single charts are Wackelkontakt, Oimara, Zartmann, AYLIVA, Abor & Tynna, Nina Chuba, Querbeat, Teddy Swims, WizTheMc, and Helene Fischer. International stars like Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Sleepy Hallow, Kendrick Lamar, and Billie Eilish also have a strong presence in the charts.
Sarah Connor, Laura Wilde, WizTheMc, Ludovico Einaudi, Eberhard Klunker, and several other artists dominate the albums, Schlager, and classical music rankings. Ed Sheeran leads the airplay charts, while tracks by Lady Gaga, Alex Warren, Lola Young, Doechii, Teddy Swims, Rosé & Bruno Mars occupy notable positions in the European airplay top ten.
