Salzgitter's April cultural lineup blends blues, klezmer and indie-rock for all ages
Salzgitter's Cultural Services department has lined up a varied programme of music and theatre for April. The events range from blues and indie-rock to klezmer workshops and children's performances. All will take place at venues across the city, including Kniestedter Kirche and Kulturscheune Lebenstedt.
The series No Ordinary Sunday kicks off on April 10 with a concert by Patricia Vonne and her band. Their sound mixes Southern blues with Mexican folk influences, bringing a lively energy to Kniestedter Kirche.
On April 12, the same venue hosts *The Carousel*, a children's theatre production for ages three and older. The playful performance promises an engaging experience for young audiences. From April 17 to 19, Helmut Eisel and Juan Pablo Gonzales Tobón will lead a klezmer workshop. Participants will explore traditional Eastern European Jewish music, with the workshop closing on April 19 at 3 p.m. A free concert in Kniestedter Kirche will showcase what they've learned. The month's lineup also includes indie-rock band Kabinett from Mannheim. They perform on April 18 at Kulturscheune Lebenstedt, adding a modern edge to the programme.
The events form part of Salzgitter's spring cultural calendar. Concerts, theatre, and workshops offer something for all ages and tastes. Most performances will be held at Kniestedter Kirche, with one taking place at Kulturscheune Lebenstedt.
