Salzgitter Residents Invited to Shape Future in ISEK 2025 Workshops

Salzgitter is preparing for future growth with an update to its Integrated Urban Development Concept (ISEK 2025). Residents are once again invited to share their ideas in neighborhood workshops starting this November.

The ISEK serves as the city's master plan, guiding all future citywide and neighborhood-level developments. The revised plan will focus on key areas such as urban renewal districts, transforming industrial sites, initiatives to support children and families, and expanding green spaces.

The city has commissioned planners to work on this update, though their names are not yet publicly available. Last year, an online participation phase saw over 2,200 residents submit 443 ideas with over 5,200 evaluations. Now, residents are invited to continue shaping their city's future in person at workshops held in Lebenstedt (Nov 4), Thiede (Nov 5), Gebhardshagen (Nov 11), and Salzgitter-Bad (Nov 12). No registration is required, and all interested residents are welcome to attend.

Salzgitter's ISEK 2025 update is underway, with neighborhood workshops providing residents another opportunity to contribute their ideas. The revised plan aims to guide the city's growth in key areas, building on the success of last year's online participation phase.
