New Orleans Saints Prepare for Homecoming Game Against Seattle Seahawks

The New Orleans Saints will face their third consecutive NFC West opponent on Sunday, as they take on the Seattle Seahawks. This game will be a sort of homecoming for the Saints' new coach, Kellen Moore, who hails from Prosser, Washington.

The Seahawks could be facing some challenges in the secondary, with safeties Nick Emmanwori, Julian Love, and cornerback Devon Witherspoon missing practice time this week due to injuries. Additionally, running back Zach Charbonnet is also reported to have missed practice with a foot injury.

The Saints, who are currently 0-2, opened the season with two one-score defeats at home to Arizona and San Francisco. According to Moore, the team needs to play cleaner football and do what winning teams do in every moment to turn close games into victories.

Moore served as the offensive coordinator for the Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles last season, and he will be looking to bring that success to the Saints. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are coming off a win against Pittsburgh, with a score of 31-17. Their offense gained a total of 395 yards in that game.

Kenneth Walker III rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown in the Seahawks' last game, marking his first 100-plus yard game on the ground since the 2024 season opener. Cooper Kupp added seven catches for 90 yards in the game, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a game-high eight receptions for 103 yards.

Spencer Rattler, who will be starting for the Seahawks, threw a career-high three touchdowns but is still winless as an NFL starter (0-8). Rattler believes the Saints are close to winning games, with many of their games coming down to the wire. Last weekend's loss to the 49ers was sealed when Rattler was sacked on fourth down with 57 seconds left.

AJ Barner made a touchdown grab during the game, and the Saints practiced without offensive linemen Taliese Fuaga (knee/back) and Dillon Radunz (toe) as well as defensive end Chase Young (calf).

The Saints (0-2) will be looking to get their first win of the season against the Seattle Seahawks (1-1) on Sunday. The game promises to be an exciting match-up, with both teams eager to prove themselves.
