Even though he's the seventh-ranked lightweight in the UFC, Mateusz Gamrot finds himself struggling to secure fights with big-name opponents. The heat has been turned up after Armen Tsarukyan, former title contender, passed on a fight at an Abu Dhabi event despite Gamrot beating him back in 2022.
Before this, Gamrot called out Benoit Saint-Denis, accusing him of turning down a fight at UFC 315 on May 11. Taking to social media, Gamrot blasted,
"BSD turned down the fight next week. What's wrong with you guys? Show some balls, you chickens!"
Next up for Gamrot is an unranked Ludovit Klein, with whom he'll square off in the co-main event at UFC Vegas 107 on June 1. Meanwhile, Saint-Denis will face Kai Kara-France at UFC 315. Kara-France stepped in after Saint-Denis' original opponent, Yoel Alvarez, injured his hand.
