Get ready for some high-seas action, folks! Italian-American sailing star, Francesca Clapcich, is diving headfirst into the thrilling world of The Ocean Race Europe. This continental regatta, starting next summer in Kiel, Germany, and ending in Montenegro, is a tantalizing taste of the global tour. And guess who's on Team Malizia for the ride? None other than our fearless sailor!

Francesca's boat of choice? The mighty Imoca 60, Malizia, owned by Boris Herrmann. And come the wink of an eye, this beauty will be Francesca's very own. Her ultimate goal? To qualify for the Vendée Globe 2028, where she'll be attempting to make history as the first female sailor to conquer all four major sailing summits: the Olympic Games, the Puig Women's America's Cup, The Ocean Race, and, of course, the Vendée Globe.

But enough about the future! Let's talk teamwork! Boris Herrmann, a seasoned pro, will be the skipper, with British sailor Will Harris and American Cole Brauer as his trusted co-skippers. They'll be joined by Francesca, Swiss sailor Justine Mettraux, French sailor Loïc Berrehar, and onboard reporters Flore Hartout and Antoine Auriol.

Excited about her role on the team, Francesca says, "Racing with a high-performing team filled with incredible individuals is a dream come true. Plus, since I'll be owning the boat, it's an extraordinary opportunity to race with the people who built it and know all its secrets." Boris Herrmann agrees, "Francesca isn't just an incredibly talented sailor and an Ocean Race winner, but she's also full of energy and shares our team's values of sustainability. I can't wait to learn from her experience and compete at the highest levels together."

Francesca Clapcich, continuing to rise through the ranks, is an inspiration to us all! Her determination and passion for sailing are evident, and we can't wait to see what else she'll accomplish in the world of competitive sailing! Travel safe, team Malizia! Here's to a fantastic Ocean Race Europe 2022.

In the upcoming Ocean Race Europe, Francesca Clapcich, part of Team Malizia, aims to showcase her sports prowess, demonstrating her report of hard work and dedication in the world of sports sailing.
