Sadly, a renowned German handball superstar has passed away
Marcus Helbig, a prominent figure in the world of handball refereeing, has sadly passed away at the age of 53 following a prolonged battle with a severe illness.
Helbig and his refereeing partner, Lars Geipel, have been shaping the national and international handball stage for decades. Their inseparable bond on the field, which began in 1993, has earned them recognition not only nationally but also internationally.
