Sabrina Carpenter Went Pants-Free at Met Gala, Supporting National No Pants Day

Yeah, listen up, 'cause I ain't repeating myself, alright? Last Friday - and you don't need me to tell the keen ones out there - was the infamous No Pants Day! Marked annually on the first Friday in May, it's a day my house looks forward to circling on the calendar.
But holy smokes, Sabrina Carpenter, she surprised us all when she strutted into the Met Gala on Monday night, rocking the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, sans pants! Coincidence? Well, I reckon so, but sometimes the imagination loves a good spin.
Taking the spotlight, Carpenter's ballsy move scored her some headlines and had her gracing some best-dressed lists. But log on to Entertainment Weekly if you want the real deal behind her pants-less look – it had nothing to do with National No Pants Day.
Carpenter herself let the cat out of the bag during the event, confessing that it was none other than co-chair Pharrell Williams who gave her the nudge – or should I say, the lack of a nudge? He supposedly told her, "You're short, so no pants for you."
Yep, Carpenter worked the red carpet in a custom Louis Vuitton ensemble created by Pharrell himself, and it was quite the sight to behold! Her outfit consisted of a snazzy burgundy bodysuit, a cropped blazer, and some seriously high platform heels.
Unfortunately, Carpenter's daring decision didn't translate to the after-party – and there goes the dream for No Pants Day fans everywhere.
But Kudos to Sabrina Carpenter, she gave us a night to remember at the Met Gala! And who could forget the spectacular night Sydney Sweeney had as well? So here's to the rule-breakers and the trendsetters, cheers!
