Sableboarding mastery awaits Baikal, who's likely to receive an invitation for river races after acquiring the skill.
In an exciting development for the city of Chita and the Zabaykalsky Krai, the "Together on Water" club has been awarded a grant to implement the "Stand-up Paddleboarding is Easy" project. This initiative aims to teach children and adults safe water behaviour and promote stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) as an affordable active leisure activity.
The project will kick off with a theoretical part, reminding participants of water safety rules. This will be followed by practical training sessions, where beginners will receive introductory lessons, and more experienced paddleboarders will be invited to river trips in the Zabaykalsky Krai.
As part of the project, master classes with participants of the Russian championships in the "Paddleboard with Paddle" discipline will be organised. These sessions will offer valuable insights and techniques for those eager to improve their SUP skills.
The regional team will also be sent to the "Baikal Wind" festival, providing an opportunity to showcase the project and further promote SUP as a popular leisure activity.
It's worth noting that, while there are no specific search results describing the "Stand-up Paddleboarding is Easy" project in Chita, similar projects typically focus on encouraging local residents to engage in SUP by making it accessible and affordable. This includes community workshops, provision of rental equipment, safety training, and awareness campaigns to promote responsible behaviour on water.
The "Stand-up Paddleboarding is Easy" project was reported on the government of Zabaykalsky Krai website, marking a significant step towards promoting active leisure and water safety in the region.
