Ryle Boys Volleyball Starts 11-0, NDA Names New Co-Head Coaches

Two graduating seniors, Ava Tilden and Julia Grace, have been recognised as first-team all-state selections. Meanwhile, the 9th Region All 'A' Classic baseball tournament semifinals are set for Wednesday at Thomas More Stadium in Florence. In volleyball news, Ryle's boys team has made a strong start to their inaugural season, while Notre Dame Academy has appointed new co-head coaches for their successful program.

The Ryle boys volleyball team has enjoyed an impressive 11-0 start, boasting a 33-2 record in sets won. Their statistical leaders include Ryota Kondo for assists and aces, Andrew Stropko for kills, Max Kid for blocks, and Collin Kemper for digs. This success comes as Kentucky sees a growth in boys volleyball, with 72 teams playing this spring across eight region tournaments and a state playoff system.

Notre Dame Academy, known for its volleyball prowess with 38 region titles, 23 state championship matches, and 10 state titles, has appointed Madison Salkowski and Hannah Colvin as co-head coaches. Both coaches bring Division I college experience, having played at Seton Hall University and Wright State University respectively. They replace Salkowski's previous role as varsity assistant coach and Colvin's position as junior varsity head coach.

The 9th Region All 'A' Classic baseball tournament semifinals are upcoming, while Ryle's boys volleyball team continues to make history in their first season. Notre Dame Academy's new coaching duo, Salkowski and Colvin, aim to build on the school's rich volleyball legacy.
