The Barracuda Championship, a co-sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, concluded with a significant payout for the winner. Ryan Gerard secured the victory at the Silverado Resort in Napa, California, taking home a six-figure prize of $720,000.

The 2025 edition of the Barracuda Championship offered a total prize money of $4 million. The event, held simultaneously with The Open Championship, features top players who did not qualify for the latter. The unique modified Stableford format determined the winner this year.

Gerard's triumph earned him a two-year PGA Tour exemption (or one-year for DP World Tour members). However, unlike some other PGA Tour events, the winner does not receive an exemption to The Masters. The runner-up received almost $450,000, with anyone finishing inside the top-11 also receiving a six-figure payout.

The Barracuda Championship, hosted at Tahoe Mountain Club's Old Greenwood Course in Truckee, California, proved to be a lucrative opportunity for its participants. Ryan Gerard's victory is a testament to the event's prestige and the high stakes involved.
