Ruto restructures military leadership, appoints new commanders for Army and Air Force divisions

Joyce Sitienei, previously the Director of the International Peace Support Centre, has been promoted to Major General and appointed as Deputy Vice Chancellor for Strategic and Security Studies at the National Defence University of Kenya.
In addition, Faustino Lobaly and Charles Mwazighe have been promoted to Major Generals and assigned as Director of National Defence Security Industries and Director of the International Peace Support Centre, respectively.
This overhaul signals a strengthening of the command and operational readiness of the Kenyan military, aligning with institutional traditions such as the Tonje Rules which govern the succession of leadership in the Kenya Defence Forces.
