Russia's Winter 2026 Courier Boom: Scooters and Bikes Lead Surge in Southern Regions

Courier demand in Russia surged during the winter of 2025–2026, according to data released by Avito Uslugi on 5 March 2026. The increase was particularly strong in southern regions, where deliveries by scooter, bicycle, and motorcycle saw the sharpest rise across the country. From December 2025 to February 2026, overall demand for courier services grew compared to the same period a year earlier. Electronics and personal item deliveries each climbed by 19%, while construction material orders rose by 17%. The biggest jump came in two-wheeled deliveries, which soared by 25% nationwide.

Southern regions led the growth. Krasnodar Krai accounted for 8% of winter demand, followed by Rostov Oblast at 6%. Both outperformed areas like Moscow Oblast, which contributed just 4% to the national total. The Krasnodar Region and the wider Southern Federal District also saw the highest increases in scooter, bicycle, and motorcycle deliveries—rising by 2.9 and 2.3 times, respectively. Demand for foot couriers, however, stayed almost unchanged from the previous winter.

The data highlights a clear shift toward motorised deliveries, especially in southern and industrial areas. While traditional foot couriers saw little growth, two-wheeled options became far more popular during the 2025–2026 winter season.
