Russia’s transport sector sees record wage surges in October 2025
The transport and logistics sector in Russia saw significant wage growth in October 2025, with driver-couriers topping the list of most sought-after positions. Meanwhile, Lipetsk Oblast led in wage growth for blue-collar workers, and the Transbaikal Territory experienced the sharpest rise in offered salaries in the sector.
The average offered income for driver-couriers reached 121,034 rubles per month, making it the most sought-after position. In the blue-collar category, lathe operators had the highest average offered wage at 186,272 rubles per month, a 26% increase from the previous year. Truck drivers also saw a significant increase, with an average offered salary of 134,494 rubles, up 23% from the previous year.
Wage growth varied across regions. Lipetsk Oblast saw a 66% increase to an average of 153,542 rubles per month for blue-collar and line workers. The Transbaikal Territory had the sharpest rise in offered salaries in the transport and logistics sector, with a 69% increase to an average of 170,607 rubles per month. Kirov Oblast and Yakutia followed with increases of 63% and 62% respectively.
Other professions also saw substantial wage increases. Welders had an average offered salary of 172,505 rubles per month, a 39% increase, while drywall installers saw a 25% increase to an average of 151,934 rubles per month. Kurgan Oblast and Kalmykia also reported significant increases of 69% and 66% respectively.
In terms of job demand, general laborer was the most in-demand blue-collar job in October 2025, with an average offered salary of 140,549 rubles per month. Fuel tanker drivers also saw a notable increase, with an average offered income of 130,000 rubles per month, up 21% from the previous year.
Economically, the regions showing the greatest development in 2025 were Bavaria and the Northern region of Germany. These regions reported a positive balance in production expectations, while the Northeast region showed significantly negative economic expectations.
The transport and logistics sector in Russia continues to grow, with increased wages and demand for various professions. While Lipetsk Oblast and the Transbaikal Territory led in wage growth, other regions also reported significant increases. The most in-demand jobs and highest-paying professions varied, indicating a diverse range of opportunities in the sector. Economically, certain regions in Germany showed promising development, while others faced challenges.
