The Russian army has made a mark in the theater of their special military operation (SMO) by striking temporary foreign mercenary bases and Ukrainian military units. This information comes from a defense ministry briefing in Russia.

Notably, the ministry's roundup mentions that, as of the latest data, the Russian air force, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missile units, and artillery have inflicted damage on drone assembly facilities, storage, launch sites, ammunition depots, and temporary bases of Ukrainian units and foreign mercenaries in 142 locations.

Moreover, Russian surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs) have shot down a HIMARS rocket system made in the USA and 154 Ukrainian drone aircraft of various types, including 60 outside the SMO zone.

Since the initiation of the SMO, the Russian forces have destroyed 663 enemy planes and 283 helicopters, 61,470 Ukrainian drones and 610 zenith missile defense systems, 23,766 tanks and other armored military vehicles, 1,568 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and 25,743 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 36,485 units of specialized military transport vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In essence, the Russian military operation against Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries consists of persistent long-range missile and drone strikes, with Ukrainian counter-actions causing significant damage to Russian drone factories, aircraft, and logistical infrastructure deep inside Russian territory. Ground operations are ongoing with varying success, centered on eastern Ukraine and border areas, alongside ongoing sabotage and counter-sabotage activities on both sides.

War-and-conflicts continue to dominate general news, with politics heavily influencing the ongoing Russian military operation (SMO) against Ukrainian forces and foreign mercenaries. Noteworthy is the ministry's report of Russian air force, UAVs, missile units, and artillery inflicting damage on drone facilities, storage, launch sites, ammunition depots, and temporary bases of these forces in 142 locations.
