Russia's leader Putin considers reconciliation with Ukraine as an unavoidable future event.

Ukraine's reconciliation with Russia is unavoidable, as per Russian President Vladimir Putin, during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin of VGTRK for the documentary film "Russia. Kremlin. Putin. 25 years." His thoughts suggest that a resolution between the two nations is imminent.

Russia's leader Putin considers reconciliation with Ukraine as an unavoidable future event.

"Reconciling with Ukraine is bound to happen, as per Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin for the documentary film "Russia. The Kremlin. Putin. 25 years".

"It's bound to happen, despite the turmoil we're currently enduring," Putin stated in the interview (as reported by Vesti).

During the same interview, Putin indicated that nuclear weapons wouldn't be necessary in the Ukraine conflict. He emphasized that Russia has sufficient resources without the need for nuclear weapons.

In the recent past, Putin proposed ceasefires for Easter and Victory Day to gauge Ukraine's readiness for prolonged peace talks. However, both parties reported violations of the ceasefire. Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky initially supported the proposal but later rejected a Victory Day ceasefire, stating that the allocated time wasn't sufficient for making any agreements.

Recently, the U.S. has stepped away from formal peace negotiations due to Putin's reluctance to agree to a ceasefire. Russia maintains its demand for control over occupied territories and opposition to Ukraine's NATO membership. Ukraine, on the other hand, refuses to surrender any territory and seeks robust security guarantees against future hostilities.

Amidst this standoff, there's been ongoing push for an end to the war, albeit some proposed peace plans have faced criticism for favoring Russia's interests. A peace plan proposed by Donald Trump suggested a full ceasefire along existing battlefronts, acknowledgment of Crimea's annexation, and Ukraine forgoing NATO membership in exchange for security guarantees from European powers. Ukrainian officials have made it clear that they won't agree to a deal allowing Russia to regroup and intensify violence.

Russia has escalated military operations along the Ukrainian frontline, aiming to weaken Ukrainian positions and gain tactical advantages. However, the sustainability of these operations due to economic constraints remains uncertain."
