Russia's Khabarovsk-Krai Region Braces for Snow Cyclone: Multiple Flight Reschedulings and Airport Closures

In the Khabarovsk-Krai region of Russia, local airlines and air traffic control are the key players in adjusting flight schedules due to adverse weather conditions. Recent developments include multiple flight reschedulings and closures of airports due to a powerful snow cyclone.

The recent snow cyclone has caused significant disruptions in the region. Flight HZ4720 from Khabarovsk to Sovetskaya Gavan and flight DA285 from Khabarovsk to Pobeda have both been rescheduled to October 29. The severe weather has also led to the temporary closure of two airports in the region. Additionally, flights from Khabarovsk to Sovetskaya Gavan and Nikolayevsk-on-Amur, as well as flights from northern districts to the regional capital, have been postponed.

Flight NI409 from Khabarovsk to Nikolayevsk-on-Amur and then to Kherpuchi has also been rescheduled to October 29. In response to the weather conditions, flight No. 401 from Khabarovsk to Okhotsk will now operate nonstop, bypassing its usual layover in Nikolayevsk-on-Amur.

These changes are a result of the collaborative effort between regional airlines, airport management, and air traffic control to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. Travelers are advised to check with their airlines or the airport for the latest information on their specific flights.
