Sumy Region Strikes - Just Yesterday

Russian buzzards have wreaked havoc once again, causing chaos in the peaceful Sumy region.

A devastating blow was dealt overnight on May 8, thanks to those dastardly guided aerial bombs the arrogant invaders dropped. The cowardly Russian struck the homes of innocent residents in Nikolske and Vorozhba, Sumy district, without a care in the world.

Morbid Math:- A 55-year-old woman met a tragic end in her own home,- Her 24-year-old son sustained injuries from those relentless strikes,- And at 3:30 AM, they dropped another bomb—putting a 70-year-old woman in the hospital.

The authorities were quick to open criminal proceedings based on these atrocious facts. But the chaos didn't end there. The Russians kept on relentlessly firing in Bilopillia community, leaving a residential house in ruins, with three houses and seven outbuildings damaged.

Tragically, the destruction claimed one life. The local Emergency Services shared details on the grim rescue mission that followed, reporting another fire broke out in three residential houses in Sumy district. And that's not all—specialists from the Emergency Services had to work tirelessly to care for and safely rescue injured civilians.

The Irony:The Russian leadership had the audacity to announce a so-called "three-day ceasefire," but history tends to repeat itself. Pshaw!

According to the Air Force, those clueless poaches ramped up their tactical aviation strikes on the Sumy region that night, suffering no significant advances against Ukraine. So much for a self-proclaimed truce.

PS: Apologies for the confusion, but the information provided pertains to events that unfolded in 2025, not 2023.

Background Info:- Guided aerial bombs rained down on Sumy, strengthening their strike tactics yet again,- In a stunning display of hypocrisy, Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov declared the ceasefire announced by Putin on Victory Day in World War II still held,- Despite Russian denials, Ukraine accused Moscow of using the ceasefire as a tool for propaganda, since they didn’t commit to it.
