Russian forces have reportedly advanced near the village of Oleksandriia in Sumy Oblast, according to Ukrainian military analysts from DeepState. As of May 30, approximately 3.11 square kilometers of territory near Oleksandriia have been marked as occupied, creating a new conflict zone.

This expansion is part of ongoing military activity in the Sumy region, with Russian forces targeting villages including Oleksandriia, which falls under the Myropilska community. Previously, a "red" zone, indicating enemy control, was marked in Oleksandriia on December 10, 2024. However, the regional military administration and border guards denied occupation at that time.

Furthermore, Russian troops have been reported to have occupied the settlement of Yelyzavetivka in Donetsk Oblast. The intensified activity of Russian forces is stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, who reported that they have become significantly more active on the Zaporizhzhia front and concentrated their efforts on the border area of Sumy Oblast.
